A transdisciplinary artist and multi-instrumentalist based in Chicago-Istanbul, Esme holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with concentrations in Fibers and Material Studies and Art and Technology/Sound Practices. They manipulate and deconstruct fibers and found objects to create sculptures within immersive sound in the form of installations and performances. Their artistic practice encompasses a range of disciplines, including printmaking, papermaking, weaving, photography, sound and video art, and material exploration, blending personal and political archives with playful experimentation and traditional craft techniques.
